One novel blue coulored organic donor-$\pi$-acceptor sensitizer Dyenamo-Blue has been applied for highly efficient solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells (ssDSSCs) in the first time. Using 2,2',7-,7'-tetrakis (N,N-di-p-methoxyphenyl-amine ) 9,9'-spirobifuorene (Spiro-OMeTAD) as the hole transport material (HTM), excellent power conversion efficiency of over 5% was recorded together with an open-circuit voltage of 860 mV under standard AM 1.5G illumination (100 mW cm\textsuperscript{-2}). By cosensitized with D35 dye, the solid state solar cell showed excellent efficiency of over 7%, with high current of 12.41 mA cm\textsuperscript{-2} and open circuit voltage of 880 mV. The results also showed that the Voc of solid state dye sensitized solar cells can be improved via cosensitization strategy due to suppressed recombination losses. In addition, photo-induced absorption (PIA) spectroscopy showed efficient dye regeneration in cosensitized solar cells in corresponding to their high photocurrent. The results of our research will guide the design of aesthetic and highly efficient ssDSSCs for scaling up production in the very near future.
